Telehealth

While COVID-19 presented many challenges, it also made us aware of opportunities we previously had not recognized. Before it became impossible to meet in the office for therapy, I did occasional telehealth appointments with clients who had extenuating circumstances that made coming to my office unfeasible. At that time, I would have said, "I hate doing telehealth. I want to meet with my clients in person." But 2020 forced everyone to step outside of their comfort zone and be innovative.

I discovered that most of the time therapy can be just as effective over video as in person. I wondered how brainspootting or EMDR would translate from in-office to telehealth; and to my relief I found out they can be just as effective over video as in person.

Licensure laws require that I am licensed in the state in which I see clients, which is currently the State of Georgia. The State of Florida has responded to the crisis of 2020 by allowing counselors from other states to register as a Florida telehealth provider, rather than requiring those them to obtain a Florida license.

I am registered as a Florida Telehealth Provider and can, therefore, provide telehealth services to Florida or Georgia residents. Using a secure HIPAA compliant platform to protect your privacy, I'm looking forward to connecting with you and working with you to resolve the challenges you face and to help you move forward in your life.
