M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling

National Certified Counselor

Licensed Professional Counselor

Certified MAP Practitioner

Certified EMDR and Brainspotting Practitioner

Robyn Gruber, LPC

Robyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in resolving trauma of all types. Whether the wound is from childhood, a current or previous relationship or any type of life-altering loss, Robyn is skilled at helping adults heal from the wounds they have experienced so that they no longer experience the ongoing effects of those events in their daily lives. She believes that the future is not determined by the past and anyone willing to walk through the grief required for healing, can and will heal and recover. Rather than treating symptoms, Robyn focuses on getting to the source of the problem and resolving the core issues, resulting in the alleviation of troubling symptoms and transformation that seemed impossible to achieve.

Robyn received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Oklahoma with a secondary emphasis in communication. She then received Masters of Arts degrees in Marriage and Family Counseling and in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is trained and certified in EMDR, Brainspotting and The MAP Method (Make Anything Possible).

Robyn has provided individual and family counseling services at the YWCA of Monroe, Louisiana. While at the YWCA, she also provided in-home family therapy for parents and children who were clients of the Department of Child Protective Services. Prior to going into private practice, she served as the Director of the Counseling Ministry at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. She has provided educational programs for many groups, facilitated many support groups, supervised counseling interns and facilitated numerous Trauma Resolution Therapy groups.

Robyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Georgia (#4847) and Nebraska(#1144). She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia.
